Pine Forest Loop Rules for Use

Enjoy a .5 mile walk through the unique wooded dune ecosystem of the PCO.

Walking, hiking, birding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing are allowed. 


The loop is open to the public daily:

  • May 1 through Labor Day from 8 am - 6 pm,  and
    Labor Day through April 30th from 9 am to Dusk.


Protect the ecosystem: Remain on the trail and do not cut or remove any plants.

Respect bordering private properties at all times. 


The following are prohibited:

  • Pets are not allowed on this trail.
  • Camping, lighting fires, using fireworks, 
  • Dumping or littering, 
  • Hunting and all uses of firearms, trapping, 
  • Bikes, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles.


Be sure to bring everything out that you take in. 



Please Note:

Before you start, please check the soles of your shoes to make sure they are free of seeds or other materials to prevent the introduction of non-native and invasive species to the preserve.
